Who was Jean-Eugène Buland?
Jean-Eugène Buland was a French painter. A native of Paris, he studied in that city's École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, in the studio of Alexandre Cabanel. Though he began his career as a Symbolist, he soon turned to genre painting, and it was in this field that he had his greatest success.
Buland died in Charly-sur-Marne.
