Who is Jenks Gillem?
Jennings F. "Sam" "Jenks" Gillem was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Howard College—now Samford University, Birmingham–Southern College, and Sewanee: The University of the South, compiling a career college football record of 71–65–10. Gillem died on November 11, 1951 at a hospital in Gadsden, Alabama after a long illness.
