Who is Jock Irvine?
John Taylor "Jock" Irvine is a former Australian cricketer who regularly played for Western Australia during the late 1960s. Born in Perth and educated at Hale School, Irvine debuted at Sheffield Shield level during the 1964–65 season, but was not regularly selected until the 1967–68 season. The following season, he scored over 500 runs, which led to his selection for Australia's 1969–70 tours of Ceylon, India, and South Africa. Irvine did not play Test matches on tour, and only played one further season at state level for Western Australia.
