Who is John Helmer?
John Helmer is a Moscow-based Australo-American blogger and journalist, known for his controversial investigative work on Russian business sector.
In an interview to Norilsk Nickel corporate magazine, John Helmer explains that he worked as a member of the Australian prime minister's staff in the early 1970s, then was a bureau chief in the US Office of President Jimmy Carter, before becoming Greek Prime minister Andreas Papandreou’s private advisor during the 1980s.
