Who was John Holloway?
John Holloway was an English poet, critic and academic. Born in South London and educated at the University of Oxford, he served in the artillery and intelligence during the Second World War and then pursued an academic career at the Universities of Oxford, Aberdeen and Cambridge, where he became a fellow of Queens' College and eventually a professor.
