Who is John Mair (broadcaster)?

John is a broadcast journalist and lecturer. He has more than two hundred broadcast credits to his name, ranging from short films to longer docudramas.

He has worked as a producer and director for the BBC; Channel Four and many ITV companies over thirty years. His programmes range from short form to investigations (he is a world expert on Stagecoach the Bus company) to World in Action to dramas about philosophical Marxists like Simone Weil. He has significant experience of 'Big Event' having worked as a producer or director on every BBC General Election since 1979, BBC Event Days, several world leader summits and more.

He has filmed worldwide extensively especially in the Caribbean where he was born. He re-organised the state broadcaster on a more professional basis. He has been media adviser to three Presidents of Guyana Cheddi Jagan, Janet Jagan and Bharrat Jagdeo.
