Who is John Olumba?

John Olumba is an Independent Democrat serving his second term as a member of the Michigan State House of Representatives. He represents the 3rd house district located in Wayne County, which comprises the north central and eastern portions of Detroit. After serving one term on the House Judiciary, Commerce, Economic Development, and Trade Committees, Olumba now serves on the House Appropriations Committee as the chairman of Fiscal Oversight, and as a member on Community Health, and Corrections. Olumba, the author of the Detroit Revival Omnibus, ranks amongst the leaders in terms of pieces of legislation introduced in the Michigan House of Representatives.
