John Schroeder

Who is John Schroeder?

John joined Calista Technologies based

on seeing customers struggle with the

challenges of efficiently managing

physical IT resources while providing

a highly productive environment. Virtualization

is the key architecture for reducing

operating and capital information technology

expenses while providing user productivity

advances. John’s goal is to bring

virtualization technology to industry-standard

hardware and software. Server and storage

virtualization have become mainstream “must

have” technologies. Calista is

bringing the value of virtualization

to the desktop.

John has over 25 years of technology

industry experience. In his most recent

operating role, John was President

and CEO of Rainfinity, the storage

virtualization pioneer and market leader.

Rainfinity was successfully acquired

by EMC in 2005 and the Rainfinity storage

virtualization appliance is a key technology

in the EMC’s server (VMWare)

and storage virtualization strategy.

John has held executive positions

and been an officer of both public

and private companies. In addition

to Rainfinity previous positions include

Senior Vice President of SQRIBE Technologies

(acquired by Brio Technology); Open

Systems General Manager at Compuware

and General Manager of DB2 Products

at Candle Corp. John has a BS in computer

science from Southern Illinois University.
