Who is John Shackleford?
John Gerald "Gable" Shackleford was an outfielder in the Negro Leagues.
He attended Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. He played for several teams, including the Cleveland Browns, Chicago American Giants, and Birmingham Black Barons.
Shackleford died at the age of 84 in Newark, Ohio.
