Who is John Te Herekiekie Grace?
John Te Herekiekie Grace was a New Zealand interpreter, public servant, community leader and New Zealand's first High Commissioner to Fiji. Of Māori descent, he identified with the Ngati Tuwharetoa iwi, and was knighted in 1968 for services to Māori people. He was born in Wanganui, Wanganui, New Zealand on 28 July 1905.
