Who is John Varoli?
John Varoli is American who worked as a journalist in Russia from 1997 to 2010. In that period he wrote about 3000 articles for publications including the St Petersburg Times, Radio Free Europe, the New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, Bloomberg News, The Art Newspaper, Art & Auction magazine, Art Khronika, and many more.
He also had some experience working for TV. In the first half of 2003, he hosted a TV programme on Russia’s Kultura Channel called ``A Walk Down Broadway’’. From the middle of 2006 to the middle of 2007 he worked as a TV news producer at the Moscow bureau of Reuters, responsibly for producing TV news from across Russia and the former Soviet Union.
