John William "Willie" Ward was an English Licensed victualler, and rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1890s, playing representative level rugby union for England, and at club level for Castleford RUFC, as a Forward, e.g. Prop, Hooker, Lock, Number Eight, or Flanker, and playing club level rugby league for Castleford, and Wakefield Trinity.
