Who is Johnny Ayris?

Johnny Ayris is an English former football right winger. He started his career as a youth team player at West Ham United making his first team debut in October 1970 against Burnley. He played 68 games in all competitions for West Ham scoring two goals.

Ayris played youth team football for England making seven appearances in 1971. Finding his first-team opportunities limited, Ayris spent three months on-loan with Cape Town City in 1975. He was given a free transfer by West Ham and in 1977 joined Wimbledon F.C.
