Who is Julien Nicolardot?
Julien Nicolardot is a French swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He is a member of Mulhouse Olympic Natation in Mulhouse, and is coached and trained by Lionel Horter.
Nicolardot qualified for the men's 200 m breaststroke at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by clearing a FINA A-standard entry time of 2:13.36 from the Olympic trials in Dunkirk. He challenged seven other swimmers on the fourth heat, including Austrian duo Hunor Mate and semifinalist Maxim Podoprigora. Nicolardot raced to fifth place by 0.32 of a second behind Kazakhstan's Yevgeniy Ryzhkov, lowering his entry time to 2:12.44. Nicolardot failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed twenty-eighth out of 53 swimmers in the preliminary heats.
