Who is Kasey Anderson?
Kasey Anderson is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and musician. He is based in the American North Pacific Coast. He was born in Portland, moved to Bellingham, Washington when he was 18, and has operated at times from Seattle. He is the front man for the band the Honkies. His music has been describe as americana and alt-country and he cites his musical influences as Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, Bo Diddley, The Faces, The New York Dolls, The Replacements, Bob Dylan, and Goodie Mob.
He is the owner of Red River Records. He has toured as the opening act for the Counting Crows. The Counting Crows covered Kasey Anderson's song Like Teenage Gravity on their Underwater Sunshine album.
In November 2012, Anderson was diagnosed with Type 1 Bipolar Disorder.
In January 2013, he was indicted in Federal Court with five counts of wire fraud. On 21 August 2013, Kasey plead guilty to the federal wire fraud charges.
