Who is Kikko Solaris?

Kikko Solaris is a Producer-DJ and one of the pioneers of electronic music in Italy.

Born in Rome, he started working in the early '80s. Besides his interest in DJing, he also played punk and rock, also electronic sounds on his DX7 IIFD keyboard and Atari STFM 1040 in a 80's band.

He has worked in international clubs and he created "The Solbaron" crew, a project for DJ-producers which won the Elettro Wave 2003, and the electronic session of the Arezzo Wave Love Festival. He was noted for his first singles "Tab-Lab" and "Seven".

For 6 years, he directed the "Club Culture" session of the Centre for Contemporary Arts and Cultures - Zo in Catania. His EP "Re-Freezer" came out in 2008 on Persistencebit Records.

He was resident DJ and co-organizer of the Mercati Generali club and Zo in Catania. He toured in Europe playing at clubs and festivals.
