Who is Kostas Tsanas?

Kostas Tsanas is a former Greek footballer and a current manager.

He started his career playing for Levadiakos. Afterwards, he was transferred to Kalamata FC. He then played for Athinaikos. His last team was Ethnikos Piraeus FC. In season 1992-93 he was the top scorer of Greek Second Division with 14 goals. He has played a total of 257 games in A Division and 75 in Second Division and scored 30 goals and 25 respectively.

He began his coaching career in 2001 in the academies of Athinaikos. His first headcoaching experience was in 2005 with Athinaikos and at 2006 took charge of Ilisiakos. In 2008-2009 he worked in coaching team of AEK FC, as a scouter.

A few months later he joined the National team coaching staff as an assistant coach of the U19 and U21. In October 2011 he took charge of the Greece national under-19 football team which led to the final of the 2012 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship. From August 2012 is the head coach of the Greece national under-21 football team.
