Who is Kushagra Bajaj?

Kushagra Bajaj is the Vice Chairman of the Bajaj Group, Joint Managing Director of Bajaj Hindusthan Limited and Chairman of Bajaj Corp Limited.

Kushagra earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Political Philosophy and Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, in the United States and later earned a Master of Science in Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management. In August 2001, Bajaj became Chief Executive with overall responsibility for operations at Bajaj Hindusthan Limited. He was later appointed Vice Chairman of the Bajaj Group. Kushagra is a prominent scion of the Bajaj family, one of India's oldest and most prominent business houses. He has also earned acclaim as a member of the young generation of Indian business leaders.

In 2007, he received the Young Achiever award by the jury of the 10th Rajiv Gandhi Awards, and in 2011 he was nominated for the Indian government's Padma Shri award. He is well known in the United States for his $2.5 million gift to endow a professorship at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, his alma mater. This represents one of the most significant gifts received by the Carnegie Mellon school. He is the son of Shishir Bajaj, the Chairman of Bajaj Hindusthan Limited.
