Who is Leo van der Goot?
Leo van der Goot is a Dutch Radio DJ and singer.
In the Early 1970s, he was a disc jockey of offshore Radio North Sea International. This was the counterpart and rival of Radio Veronica. In 1976, Van der Goot released a single called "Daddy, what's a pop star?".
After the disappearance of the offshore stations in August 1974, Van der Goot to work for VARA . In October 1974 was his first program heard on Hilversum 3. In December 1975 he presented his last radio show for VARA.
In 1986 he provided the Dutch commentary for the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2010 Goot was injured in a plane crash at the U.S. Fishersville
