Who is Lilianne Ploumen?
Elisabeth Maria Josepha Ploumen is a Dutch politician of the Labour Party. She has been Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation in the second Rutte cabinet since November 5, 2012. She was also the chairwoman of the Labour Party from October 6, 2007 until January 22, 2012, when she resigned and was succeeded by Hans Spekman.
Ploumen studied social history at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
In the evening of her appointment as a minister she went to Turkey for her first trade mission.
