Who is Lyesse Laloui?

Lyesse Laloui is a Chair professor of Soil Mechanics, Geo-engineering and CO2 storage at the School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He is the director of the Laboratory for Soil Mechanics, of the Doctoral programme in Mechanics as well as the director of the Civil Engineering Section. Laloui is also adjunct full professor at the Pratt School of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Duke University. He was vice-director of the European network ALERT Geomaterials from 2005 to 2011.
