Who is Maeve McLaughlin?
Maeve McLaughlin is a Sinn Féin politician who currently sits in the Northern Ireland Assembly for Foyle. She was chosen to replace Martina Anderson, and took office in June 2012.
She previously sat on the local council, having being elected in 2001. McLaughlin is a keen community activist, with a BA honours graduate in Sociology, History and Politics.
