Who is Megan Palmer?
Megan Palmer is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford. Concurrently, she serves as Deputy Director of the Practices Thrust of the multi-university NSF Synthetic Biology Engineering Research Center (SynBERC). She joined CISAC as an Affiliate in June 2012.
Megan's work focuses on responsible biotechnology development and societal issues relating to biotechnology. She received a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Biological Engineering in 2010, and a B.Sc.E. in Engineering Chemistry from Queen's University in Ontario, Canada in 2004.
