Who is Mike Hall?

Michael Hall, better known as Mike Hall, is a sports reporter and a presenter for ITV regional news programme Granada Reports. His younger brother is fellow Granada reporter Chris Hall.

He grew up in Wigan with Chris. Mike Hall made his Granada Reports debut in 2000, but didn't appear on-screen until 2006. Starting out as a freelancer, he was later promoted to Sports Presenter, and later one of two male Deputy Main Presenters should Tony Morris be unavailable. In 2011 he married fellow Granada reporter Kate Giffard. He was honoured in the 2009 O2 Media Awards. Previously he worked for a local newspaper in the Newton-le-Willows area. As of 27 November 2013, he is a newsreader and stand-in presenter for Granada Reports, as well as sports presenter, which he shares the latter duties with David Chisnall. On 3 February 2014, it was hinted that he left the programme for ITV News Calendar, but he was confirmed on the same day as staying with Granada Reports.
