Who is Muhamad Rasat Muhamad?

Professor Dato' Dr. Muhamad Rasat Muhamad is the third and current president of the Multimedia University in Malaysia. He took office on 1 January 2011, after his predecessor Zaharin Yusoff left office late in December 2010. He was previously a deputy vice-chancellor of University Malaya. In 2008, he was awarded the title of Dato' by Sultan Azlan Shah of Perak.

A scientist, Muhamad received a doctorate from the University of Durham after being an undergraduate at National University of Malaysia. He later researched under fellowships at Cambridge University and the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
