Who is Muhammad al-Imadi?
Mohammed Imady was born on August 31, 1930 to Jawdat al-Imadi and Musrah al-Hawasli. The Imadi family is a small Sunni Damascene family that is known to have had important religious scholars in Damascus as early as the 16th century. At least six of his ancestors’ were appointed as mufti al-diyar al-shamiyah by the Ottoman Sultans.
