Who is Muhayman Jamil?

Muhayman Jamil is an Iraqi doctor and literary translator. He was born in Baghdad and moved to the UK in the 1990s where he currently works as a specialist in palliative medicine.

Jamil has translated two Arabic novels into English, both by Betool Khedairi. These are Absent and A Sky So Close. Jamil's translation of Inaam Kachachi's work was published in Banipal magazine.
