Who is Mujahid Kamran?
Mujahid Kamran, is a Pakistani theoretical physicist and the current vice chancellor of the Punjab University, Lahore, Punjab. He is a professor of physics and, had previously served as the chairman of the Physics Department at the University of the Punjab. From 2004-2007, he served as the dean of the Faculty of Sciences at the same institution. In January 2008, he was appointed as vice chancellor of the Punjab University by the governor of Punjab, Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool, on the recommendation of a Search Committee. Kamran joined the university of the Punjab as a lecturer in 1972, became an assistant professor in 1982, associate professor in 1987 and professor in 1988. He is a former Fulbright Fellow 1988-89.
