Niall Dunne

Who is Niall Dunne?

Niall Dunne is the current Chief Sustainability Officer of BT Group, and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

He was previously Managing Director in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Saatchi & Saatchi, a consulting and communications agency, focused on sustainability.

Prior to that, Dunne was an executive at Accenture, where he helped establish the company's climate change and sustainability practice.

Dunne has written and spoken about the power of communications to tackle major social, environmental and economic problems.

During 2012, the World Economic Forum inducted Niall into the Forum of Young Global Leaders. In the WEF announcement, he was quoted as saying: “Becoming part of it is humbling yet thrilling as it is networks like this and our innate ability to get organised and innovate that will create the systemic change necessary to sustain and empower every man woman and child on the planet.” Dunne is also a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Sustainable Consumption.

He is a columnist for Business Green, and has been described by the editor James Murray as being "one of the UK's most high profile and influential sustainability executives".
