Who was Otto Kerkhoven?
Otto Kerkhoven was a Dutch accountant, politician and author. Born in Ter Aar in the Netherlands Province of South Holland on April 4, 1923. During World War II he went into hiding to avoid deportation to Germany, in the last days of World War II he joined the Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten and worked as a volunteer at a prison. After the war he worked as an accountant, and later starting his own firm. As a member of the Anti Revolutionary Party he served in the Aalsmeer municipal council during the 1970s, with future Member of the House of Representatives Fred Borgman. In 2003 he wrote his autobiography titled Toen.
