Who is Pete Williams?

Pete Williams is an Australian entrepreneur, author and marketer. He is best known for selling the Melbourne Cricket Ground for "under $500" when he was just 21 years old. He has been described in the press as Australia’s Richard Branson.

Williams was the Global Runner-Up in the Junior Chamber International Creative Young Entrepreneur Awards for 2009, the Southern Region Finalist in the Ernst & Young 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year, and a member of SmartCompany's 30 Under 30.

He has written four books on entrepreneurship, internet marketing and publicity: How to Turn Your Million-Dollar Idea Into a Reality, Media Strategies for Internet Marketers, The Ultimate Press Release Swipe File and Unleashing the Power of Publicity. His latest marketing book, It's Not About the Product, was slated to be released in the middle of 2012.

Williams currently hosts the weekly entrepreneurship and marketing podcast PreneurCast on iTunes with digital media producer Dom Goucher.
