Peter Moore is a trombonist from Stalybridge, Greater Manchester, who was the winner of BBC Young Musician of the Year in May 2008, when he was only twelve years old.
Moore, who was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is the youngest winner of the competition to date, which is open to young persons aged eighteen and under. He attends Chethams School of Music, in Manchester.
