Who is Philip Bond?

Philip Bond is a British actor best known for playing Albert Frazer in 24 episodes of the 1970s BBC nautical drama The Onedin Line.

Born in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Bond attended the University of Oxford. He is a twin to sister Shirley. In 1957 he played Sir John Marraby in the musical Zuleika, based on the novel Zuleika Dobson by Max Beerbohm.

His first television role was in the series ITV Television Playhouse. He went on to appear in, among others, The Saint, Doctor Who, Redcap, No Hiding Place, Armchair Theatre, Man in a Suitcase, The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Champions, The Avengers, Doomwatch, Jason King, The Onedin Line, Dial M for Murder, Z-Cars, Warship, Crown Court, The Children of the New Forest, The Sandbaggers, Shoestring, Only Fools and Horses, Bergerac, Lovejoy, Shakespeare: The Animated Tales, The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Casualty, and Midsomer Murders.

Bond's film roles include Count Five and Die, Orders to Kill, Foxhole in Cairo, I Want What I Want, and Fever Pitch. He was interviewed in the 2008 documentary The Cult of The Onedin Line.
