Who is Premendra Mazumder?

Premendra Mazumder a film society activist, film critic, curator and festival consultant based in Calcutta, India who presently holds the offices of the Vice President, Federation of Film Societies of India and Secretary-Asia, International Federation of Film Societies. Official Correspondent of the Cannes Critics Week for Indian subcontinent. Also works for different other festivals in Asia, Europe, Africa and America. Served as the member of jury in many film festival worldwide. Participated in different academic assignments related to cinema at various international forums. As an expert on Cinema of India worked in the editorial board for the Dictionary of Asian Cinema published by Nouveau Monde Editions, Paris. Contributes on cinema, especially on Indian Cinemas in many international publications. His articles have been published in English, Bengali, French, Portuguese, Korean and Croatian. Authored a book on Hundred Years of Indian Cinema. Writing the next book on Bollywood Cinema. A playwright having four plays on credit being staged by several group-theaters in Calcutta.
