Who was Rajeh Mahmoud?
Rajeh Mustafa Mahmoud was a Syrian Brigadier General who was from the military engineering units.
State media reported that he had been killed in a clash around Damascus on 1 February 2012. Also, 3 of his soldiers also reportedly died in the fighting. State media claimed "a number" of combatants were also killed.
Mahmoud was reportedly from Homs.
