Who is Robert of Normandy?
One fo the initial architects/stonemasons of the cathedrals (Sés) at Coimbra and Lisbon.starting in about 1150 and 1180 respectively. In the case of Lisbon, work began almost immediatelely after the city's conquest from the Moors. While Coimbra was unnefected by the 1755 earthquake, the Sé in Lisbon was severely damaged and a central crossing tower supposedlly by Robert of Normandy, fell and was not rebuilt.
