Who is Roger Evans?
A Cambridge-educated economist, Mr. Evans
has been associated with the Boston-based venture capital firm
Greylock since May 1989. He has been a Greylock general partner since
1991.
Before joining
Greylock, Mr. Evans was president and chief executive officer of Micom
Systems, Inc., a data communications equipment manufacturer, which he
co-founded in 1976.
He is on the board of Picarro, RightNow Technologies, Silver Peak Systems, Vudu Labs and Unipier.
Roger also served on the board of and led Greylock's investment in companies such as Ascend (acquired by Lucent), Argon Networks (acquired by Siemens), Crosscomm (acquired by Olicom), Maker Communications (acquired by Conexant), Openwave, Sahara Networks (acquired by Cascade), Sirocco Systems (acquired by Sycamore), Syndesis (acquired by Subex Azure), Whitetree (acquired by Ascend), Xircom (acquired by Intel), and Zeitnet (acquired by Cabletron).
He is a graduate of Cambridge University.
