Who is Rose Mapendo?
Rose Mapendo is a Congolese human rights activist. She founded the Mapendo New Horizons Foundation, to help vulnerable survivors of physical, psychological, and social trauma caused by decades of extreme violence so that they have easy access to health care and to give them hope. In addition, the Mapendo International organization was named in her honor.
