Who is Sara Billey?

Sara C. Billey is an American mathematician working in algebraic combinatorics. She is known for her contributions on Schubert polynomials, singular loci of Schubert varieties, Kostant polynomials, Kazhdan–Lusztig polynomials often using computer verified proofs. She received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers PECASE award in the year 2000 and is currently a member of the faculty at the University of Washington.

In 2012 she became a fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
