Who is Simone Biles?

Simone Arianne Biles (born March 14, 1997) is an American gymnast. Biles has won 32 Olympic and world medals to date, making her the most decorated gymnast of all time. With seven Olympic medals, Biles also ties Shannon Miller for most medals won by an American gymnast. She is considered one of the greatest and most dominant gymnasts of all time.

Biles won individual gold medals in all-around, vault, and floor at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio; bronze on the balance beam; and gold as part of the United States' "Final five." After battling "the Twisties," a temporary loss of consciousness caused by "loss of air awareness," she won silver with Team USA at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
