Who is Tom Daly?

Thomas Daly is an Australian professional basketball player.

Daly was recruited from local Adelaide club the Sturt Sabres where he helped the Sabres to the 2010 Central Australian Basketball League championship, scoring 26 points in the final. He was also the Frank Angove Medalist in 2010 which is awarded to best U/23 player in CABL. Daly was also a Gold Medalist for Australia in the 2009 FIBA Oceania tournament played in Saipan.

He played 13 NBL games for the 36ers during the 2010–11 NBL season after being promoted from the team's development squad due to injuries and averaged 2.2 points, 0.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists per game.

In 2012, Daly won the CABL's "Fairest and Most Brilliant" player. He was also named the 2012 MVP and selected in the All-Star Five.

On October 23, 2012, Daly signed with the Mount Gambier Pioneers.

Daly was one of the 36ers development players going into the 2012–13 NBL season. Following the mid-season release of import guard C. J. Massingale, and the season ending Achilles tendon injury to Mitch Creek, Daly signed a one month contract with the 36ers, elevating him to the team's senior roster. Daly's performances saw him retain his roster spot until the end of the season and he was rewarded with nomination for the NBL's Rookie of the Year award.
