Who is Tom Gannon?
Thomas P. Gannon is a former Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Gannon represented the 161st legislative district. He was born in Philadelphia.
He is a 1961 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School. He earned a degree in political science from Temple University in 1968 and a J.D. from the Widener University School of Law in 1976.
Prior to elective office, he worked as a Contract Surety Bond Claim Attorney for Reliance Insurance Company. He was first elected to represent the 161st legislative district in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1978. During his tenure, he sought to eliminate insurance discrimination against persons suffering from mental illness.
