Who is Tony Partington?

Tony Partington has enjoyed a successful career as a singer, actor, director and artistic director. As a vocalist, he has performed at the TRUMP PLAZA in Atlantic City, NJ, Philadelphia's NEW CENTURY GUILD HALL, Virginia's famed HOMESTEAD RESORT, Florida's historic DIXIE THEATRE and in Jamaica, West Indies at the JAMAICA-JAMAICA RESORT. He created the role of President Truman's Aide in the opera HERE I STAND and has also performed with the Curtis Institute Opera in Philadelphia and the Philmont Opera in Wilmington, Delaware in numerous operas. Mr. Partington has studied classical voice with Wayne Conner (of the Curtis Institute), Jeanne Grace, Lois Darling, Mary Vaughn and Maestro Constantine Callinicos (Mario Lanza's operatic coach, conductor and

accompanist).

He produced and hosted the award winning weekly series "Singer's Spotlight" for National Public Radio and has produced, performed and directed both theatre and opera throughout the country. Mr. Partington was, from 1989 through 1992, the Associate Artistic Director of The Barter Theatre (the State Theatre of Virginia).

As an actor and singer, Mr. Partington has appeared in regional theatre in film and television. Credits include:

DEAD POETS SOCIETY with Robin Williams, KAHN THE WARRIOR, ALL MY SONS, THE FANTASTICKS, JACQUES BREL, OH, COWARD the World Premieres of BROADWAY TO HOLLYWOOD and A TENOR ON BROADWAY. He also starred in NBC-TV's UNSOLVED MYSTERIES.
