Who is Waroch I?
Waroch I or Guérech was an early ruler of the Vannetais. Either he or his grandson Waroch II is the namesake of Broërec.
During the first half of the 6th century, Waroch reigned in the region of Benetis, without actually controlling the city that became a Gallo-Frankish enclave. It seems that the Franks gave him the title of Count, not that of King.
