Who is Yeahwon Shin?
Yeahwon Shin is a vocalist born in South Korea. Currently residing in New York, she has performed extensively with some of the best musicians on the Jazz/World music scene, most notably with Brazilian music legend Egberto Gismonti. He also contributed to a piece on Shin's debut Yeahwon which was released in 2010 and received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Musica Popular Brasileira Album in 2011. Her second album Lua ya has been released in August 2013 on the innovative label ECM Records with contribution of pianist Aaron Parks and accordionist Rob Curto.
