Who is Ysmael Carmona?
Ysmael Alexander Carmona is a right-handed relief pitcher in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim organization.
Carmona began his professional career in 2006, pitching for the AZL Angels and going 0-0 with a 13.09 ERA in 10 games. He did not pitch in 2007. In 2008, he pitched in 44 games for the Cedar Rapids Kernels, going 2-4 with a 5.37 ERA. With the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2009, Carmona went 0-8 with a 5.74 ERA in 41 appearances, striking out 55 batters and saving 20 games in 42 1/3 innings. He split 2010 between the Arkansas Travelers and Salt Lake Bees, going a combined 5-3 with 12 saves and a 2.66 ERA in 44 games.
