Who is Yumino Toyoda?

Yumino Toyoda, born in 1962 in Cologne, Germany, is a Japanese classical musician. His father, Koji Toyoda, is a renowned violinist, and his mother, Motoko Toyoda, a pianist.

He graduated from the Paris Conservatory in 1978, and is former concert master of Chamber Orchester in Lausanne, Bamberger Symphniker and Wurttembergischen Kammerorchester Heilbronn. Yumino is currently Assistant professor of Toho Gakuen School of Music. In 1980 he and Annick Roussin both finished second in the Geneva International Music Competition, no first prize was awarded.
