Who is Adam Bold?

Adam Bold is an American author and businessman. He is the founder and minority shareholder of The Mutual Fund Store, and host of The Mutual Fund Show, a national weekly talk radio show focused on actively managed common stock and bond mutual fund investments. With thousands of actively managed common stock and bond mutual funds available, Bold emphasizes the importance of research and the fund manager's past and current role in the success of an actively managed common stock and bond mutual fund. The Mutual Fund Show airs in multiple markets nationwide. Bold is a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor, a designation awarded by the College for Financial Planning, and a Certified Fund Specialist, a certification awarded by the Institute of Business and Finance.

In 1996, Bold founded The Mutual Fund Store, a financial advisory company headquartered in Overland Park, KS, with more than 70 locations and more than 32,000 clients nationwide. He serves as Chief Investment Officer of The Mutual Fund Research Center, an SEC registered investment adviser which provides mutual fund and asset allocation recommendations and research to stores in The Mutual Fund Store system.

In the summer of 2004, Adam Bold and Scott Revare founded Smart401k, a Web-based independent investment adviser, with the goal of helping employees invest in their 401s.
