Who is Adam Hecktman?

Adam Hecktman is the Director for the Microsoft Technology Center in Chicago, located at the Aon Center. He has been with the MTC since its inception in September 2001. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Children's Museum since 2003, and has been involved in an advisory capacity in a number of community organizations in and around Chicago for much of the last decade.

Prior to this position, Adam managed the Technology Specialist program for Microsoft’s largest sales district, the Midwest District. He has been with Microsoft since 1991.

Prior to Microsoft, Adam was a consultant with Andersen Consulting for three years. While at Andersen Consulting, Adam worked with clients including those in financial services, government, and utilities. Adam received a Bachelor of Science in commerce and business administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree.

Hecktman plays banjo.

Mr. Hecktman was awarded the Dan Steinman Humanity Award from the Indiana University Mike Chase Foundation for his research on the 386 grabber file. This patented technology allowed MS-DOS 5.0 applications to utilize shared RAM on the 80386 architecture introduced by the Intel Corporation.
