Who was Adam Rolland Rainy?

Adam Rolland Rainy was a Liberal Party politician in Scotland who sat in the House of Commons for Kilmarnock Burghs. By profession he was a surgeon oculist.

He was elected at the 1906 general election as the Member of Parliament for Kilmarnock Burghs, having fought the seat unsuccessfully in 1900. He was re-elected at the two general elections in 1910, but died the next year, causing a by-election.
